Cost to Incorporate Nevada

Cost to Incorporate Nevada
The costs to incorporate Nevada are minimal in comparison to some of the other states in the US which are popular incorporation spots. Depending on how you choose to form your company, you can have it done for as little as $300 or as much as $1,000 or more. If you decide to complete the filing process yourself it will cost you less than if you have help from a company who specializes in corporation formation.
The only real fee that must be paid to the Secretary of State to incorporate Nevada is $300. Once you’ve paid that fee (at the time of filing the proper paperwork) then it’s only a matter of waiting the standard six to eight (6-8) weeks for your corporation to be approved. It is possible to have the paperwork expedited for an additional fee of anywhere from $100 to $200 (depending on where you are in the state) which will have your corporation up and running within a week to 10 days or less. You can also pay to have your business name trademarked or copyrighted but it’s not absolutely necessary to start a business.
If you decide to avail of the services of a specialty company to assist you to incorporate Nevada, then you will be looking at paying slightly more. In addition to the initial fee of $300 paid to the Secretary of State, you will also have to pay the company’s preparation fees which can include everything from doing a name search for your business to acting as the registered agent for your corporation (if you don’t reside in Nevada yourself and you don’t already have an agent to act on your behalf). Most of the time, these companies will have a set fee that corresponds with a package of services that they offer to you. These fees will range from about $75 all the way up to $600 or $700 depending on the services they offer. One thing you absolutely have to remember; the only real fee that has to be paid in order to for a corporation in Nevada is the initial $300.
